Casino Brunch

1/13/2008

Another February has come and gone, and 15 of our EHYC tummies were a little rounder from another  delicious brunch at the Clearwater Casino.

We could choose from thick French toast, eggs benedict, crepes, fresh shrimps, bacon, eggs, fresh fruits, salad, desserts, and a lot more.

Best of all, we all had a chance to meet some of the new members, and get reacquainted with members we haven’t seen for a while.

The weather was great for the event, sunny and brisk, with a great view of the newly-installed totem pole by the beach.

This totem pole is the work of 1950’s carver Dudley C Carter.  It has been sitting in front of the Northgate Mall for the past 55 years, and was just recently refurbished and installed at the Casino.  A much more fitting home for this majestic piece of history.

We were all hoping for a free limo ride home, but it was not in the stars this time.  Maybe next year.
