Edmonds Rendezvous!

March 30 - April 1, 2007

Sea Venture…Mary and Dan Marler

Waypoint II …Liz and Gary Bracken

Windwalker…Jean and Doug Fernandes

Double Haven ….Sandra and Mark Leese

Northern Light…Cindy and Rich Randall and Blackjack

These five boats, accompanied by their skippers and crews, recently enjoyed a rain-free weekend at the Edmond’s Marina.  In spite of Edmonds receiving the “Marina of the Year” award for 2006, Morrie, the marina manager, thought that Way Point II  (NOT the most svelte vessel in the fleet!) would fit between Double Haven and Sea Venture.  Only a minimal amount of Vaseline was required. Morrie apparently knows his business!

The Whole Gang

Friday night the skippers and crews descended on Double Haven for appetizers and desserts and a game of “Truth or Fiction” where we found out who was the best at detecting lies told by our fellow cruisers.  Winners and losers received wine or toilet paper, depending on their detection skills.

Just "nosing" around....

Saturday afternoon we met "uptown" for a wiine tasting, and then sauntered through town to a cheese purveyor.  Yes we really did saunter--- not stagger, as we were all quite temperate at the wine shop!   But the cheese tasting was not as exciting.  It never is.  We were later joined for dinner at Arnie’s Restaurant on Saturday evening by Roberta and Susan Hopkins and Rod and Lillie.

After the skippers and crews ate breakfast in town Sunday morning (Chanterelles - ask Mark about his pancakes!), the boats headed home.  We were pleased to share dock time with old and new friends and are looking forward to cruising season!
