Saturday Morning in the new Point Hudson Marina
Eagle Harbor Yacht Club was one of the first customers for the rebuilt Point Hudson Marina. The marina now offers modern docks to complement what has always been a great location. Eight boats arrived Friday and the evening festivities kicked off with a re-commissioning celebration aboard Gregg and Cindy Robinson’s finely restored Willard 40, Rincon. The boat is stunning. The evening continued with a potluck aboard Waypoint II.

Saturday morning began with the Cruise Captain brewing espresso drinks for those brave enough to partake. Cruisers in small groups headed off to explore the many attractions of Port Townsend. By 3:00 a lighthearted cribbage competition was underway. Al Lindstrum received the prize for sportsmanship and Gary Cooper received the runner-up award. The Cruise Captain won the bragging rights that go to the winner.

We ate a fine dinner at the Belmont and then retired to the docks for dessert (ice cream & fresh fruit). Sunday morning some of us needed to be underway at an early hour.The trip home was a bit lumpy, especially near Point No Point.

The consensus of the 21 cruisers from 9 boats was unanimous! Port Townsend should be on next year’s cruise calendar!
It is hard to beat a great destination, good company and a chance to mess around on boats!
