EAGLE HARBOR YACHT CLUB 2026 OFFICERS
Allan has been actively involved in sailing for more than 35 years, owning a variety of sailboats ranging from a 21 MacGregor to their current Beneteau 473. Throughout this journey, Allan and his wife Leanne have been members of and actively participated in numerous yacht clubs throughout California, including the Navy Yacht Club and American Legion Yacht Club. Allan has had the honor of going "thru the flag" and ultimately serving as Commodore of the Channel Cruising Club. After retiring in 2014, Allan pursued his OUPV license and subsequently earned his 50-ton Master Mariner credential. Allan went on to teach sailing through the American Sailing Association (ASA), instructing courses including ASA 101, 103, 104, and 114, while also completing professional boat deliveries. In November 2020, Allan and Leanne relocated to Bainbridge Island, Washington, where they have continued their passion for sailing and exploring the waterways of the Pacific Northwest with friends and family. As well as their Beneteau, Allan and Leanne also own and operate a North River 27 for fishing and fast exploration.
Jeff was a mid-west (central Ohio) lake boater for approximately 20 years, before he and his wife Kim relocated to Bainbridge Island in 2019. During those early lake boating years, he learned the ins and outs of boating (as a complete novice) on both a jet boat and a large pontoon boat. Wanting to continue their boating adventures in the PNW, Jeff and Kim joined EHYC in 2021, hoping to gain mentorship from the other EHYC members while they took the leap into the "tide waters" of Puget Sound. Until this past year, their Puget Sound and San Juan exploration experience was on their 40' Greenline Hybrid; but they recently purchased a Jeanneau NC 14 named Mahina, and she will be living at their Port Madison dock ready for their 2026 boating season.
Mike and Renée moved to Bainbridge 8 years ago after their kids went off to college and immediately started boating. Over the next few years, they transitioned from a Bayliner 24 to a Cutwater 24, to a Cutwater 30, which they currently moor at Winslow Marina. Mike enjoys fishing and skiing and Renée is an active member of many non-profit organizations on the Island.
Karl learned to sail at an early age and used to race Dart Catamans in the UK and take cruises across the English channel with his parents on their 28 foot sailboat. He has been fortunate to sail these past few years with friends and family, in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Karl and his wife Angela moved to the PNW in 2021 after buying a Meridian 368 (a Covid baby!) After putting almost 300 hours on the Meridian exploring the south and north Sound, they sold their boat in early 2025. In November 2025 they bought a Jeanneau NC 895, which they keep on Lake Union.
Sue and Terry are enjoying life in the PNW where they spend as much time as possible on “Singing In the Rain”, their Mariner 37. They are committed to the notion that “informed boaters are safe boaters” and take every opportunity to upgrade their boating skills. EHYC is all about being informed and safe boaters, and they are fortunate to have so many seasoned mariners in their midst who are more than happy to share their knowledge. Terry, Bertie (their boat dog) and Sue look forward to seeing you safely on the water.
